Wow I am having so much fun here this weekend. So great to get out of town for a while!
The weather is great here, and the food is pretty good too! There's so many people here it's crazy!

I got myself a nice new pair of headphones today. They sound -fantastic- Crisp clean sound on anything you toss at them. Sharp sounds like drums and such sound absolutely incredible on these.

My birthday's comin right up (The 18th of august) And I'm looking at going to Medievil times for my birthday! I had a blast at this place when I was a kid and I've wanted to go back ever since.
It's not cheap (62 and change) But it's a LOT of fun!! Wondering if anyone would wanna come with me.
The cost of admission includes the cost of the show, your meal and drinks (Excluding alcohol), and it IS a lot of fun so don't let the price scare ya off! |

| Headphone amps. Worth it? |

I'm looking into picking up a nice set of headphones in the next couple weeks (read: Not crappy 80 dollar off the shelf headphones, think more like 300-400) and there's many a place that says a headphone amp is basicly necessary to the operation of high end headphones. Just looking at the circuitry for a headphone amp, I'm tempted to say that the amplified headphone jack in my stereo receiver would do the same job. But I'm not exactly well versed in this, I may be an idiot.
Anyone out there with knowledge better than my own (or experience!) that could tell me otherwise? Do I really need a headphone amplifier? Or can I just use a stereo amp with a 1/4 inch jack in it instead? How much a difference am I going to see in flat out NOT using an amp? What differences are there? |
